Seeing AI is a free app that uses artificial intelligence to narrate the world around the user. It can read printed text, recognize objects, describe people’s facial expressions, and identify products via barcodes.
Sample of use in education with students with IDD
During STEAM activities, students can use the app to identify tools or read instructions from packaging or documents. It fosters independence by allowing students with reading or visual difficulties to participate more fully in hands-on tasks without constant adult intervention.
