Inclusive Learning Wheel (Adapted Kolb’s Cycle)

Typology
Methodological
Resource description
The Inclusive Learning Wheel is a visual and reflective tool adapted from Kolb’s Experiential Learning Cycle. It represents the four learning stages (concrete experience, reflective observation, abstract conceptualization, and active experimentation) in a simple, visual format tailored to learners with special needs.
Sample of use in education with students with IDD
Teachers can present the wheel at the beginning and end of a robotics activity, prompting students to identify which phase they are in. This helps students recognize their own learning process and feel more involved in it. Visual symbols can be added to represent each stage for better understanding.
