Resource description
This paper analyzes the implementation of the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) approach in the training of people with disabilities, highlighting its potential to promote a truly inclusive education.
Through a review of relevant studies and real-life pedagogical experiences, it explores how this educational approach not only offers technological tools but also an interdisciplinary methodology that enhances the development of skills, knowledge, and types of thinking essential for functioning in the 21st century. It discusses how these elements, applied through an interdisciplinary project, can improve not only the employability of people with disabilities but also their self-esteem and autonomy.
It also presents challenges and recommendations for the effective implementation of this approach in training settings.
