Resource description
Approximately 7% of the population in Colombia has an intellectual disability, and 25% of these individuals are of working age. This raises a critical question: What needs to be done to include them in the knowledge economy? This question was taken up by Fundación Saldarriaga Concha, Ruta N, Ocho y Tres, Sustentropía, Lauracate, and Universidad CES, who together launched the social initiative INCLUSTEAM—a direct response to that challenge.
INCLUSTEAM pursues two main goals: first, to highlight the abilities of individuals with disabilities and their potential to contribute meaningfully to the knowledge economy; and second, to explore the institutional competencies that must be developed to ensure their educational and professional inclusion in digital environments.
