ROBBO Robot kit is designed to teach both children and adults programming and robotics. Nevertheless, it is a good supporting tool to run any physics experiments e.g. involving velocity and acceleration, exploring optics. Work with the Robot kit improves problem solving, analytical skills, innovativeness and enhances teamwork skills. The Robot kit is built around an open source Arduino microcontroller. Modular, five simple magnetic-mount sensors and led light help to build robotics solutions fastly. The product is deemed very durable, yet versatile with the expansion capabilities from Arduino GPIO breakouts. Up to five sensors can be attached to the platform simultaneously. ROBBO Robot kit has Bluetooth hardware installed, thus the use of Bluetooth requires a v9 rechargeable battery. The Robot kit is reliable and designed to work under tough conditions. Advanced users can dive deeper into programming of ROBBO Robot kit utilizing Arduino IDE.
Sample of use in education with students with IDD
Programming robots to follow the light or avoid light. Simple and fast attachments of the needed sensors and the graphical programming environment help to get move on in the project fast enough without complex building and setup process of Arduino-based robots.
