Active learning: Students are responsible for their learning, investigating, exploring and problem solving.
Knowledge construction: Students integrate new information with their prior knowledge, creating their own interpretations and understanding.
Collaboration and dialogue: Group work is encouraged, where students share ideas, discuss and learn from each other.
Teacher as facilitator: The teacher guides students in their process of discovery, raising questions and providing the necessary resources, rather than simply transmitting information.
Real contexts: Activities are set in contexts that are relevant and meaningful to students, which helps learning to be deeper and more applicable.
