Project-Based Learning

Typology
Methodological
Resource description
Project-Based Learning is a learning methodology that is based on the involvement of students in the development of projects where they intend to solve concrete problems. It encompasses research, investigation, collaboration, multidisciplinarity and in the end results in the definition and presentation of a product that it seeks to solve a certain problem. This methodological approach begins with the identification of a problem to be solved or a challenge and with the definition of a guiding question that, not being of easy answer, it should be stimulating and challenging for students. Then, the students, in a collaborative way, apply previous knowledge from various areas, investigate and seek information on the themes, idealize and reflect on authentic solution proposals and present their ideas to other colleagues and teachers, in search of criticism and suggestions for improvement. In the end, there must be a Public presentation (e.g. at school or events) of the final products Developed.
