Interactive Storytelling with Robots Approach

Typology
Methodological
Resource description
The Interactive Storytelling with Robots (ISR) Approach utilizes robots to narrate and act out stories, encouraging children with IDDs to participate and contribute to the narrative. This method fosters creativity, enhances listening and comprehension skills, and promotes social interaction by involving students in collaborative storytelling activities.
Sample of use in education with students with IDD
During a storytelling session, a robot begins narrating a familiar fairy tale, pausing at key moments to ask students what should happen next. Students suggest ideas, which the robot incorporates into the story, creating an interactive and engaging experience. This encourages students to think creatively and practice verbal expression in a supportive environment.
